Thank you to the WCDA (Worth County Development Authority), Diamond Jo Casino and Worth County Trustees!!!!
On April 15th at the annual WCDA banquet, the Kensett Fire Department was awarded $212,519.70 towards their fire station. They had previously purchased a lot in Kensett just to the east of Bratrud Golf and with this money will now be able to start building a new fire station. Due to the current size of trucks and various equipment that is needed today they have out grown the current facility. Once the new facility is built, the old facility will not sit empty, it will be turned back over to the city to house the city's water department. We will try to keep everyone updated with photos and news on this page so please check back often. The Fire Department would again like to thank everyone for your continued support throughout Worth County.

As you can see we have a lot of work ahead of us, first the concrete and trees will be tore out then the building will come down.

We still have a long way to go, but the trees have been cut down, the storage building has been removed and the old foundation from the old Ford dealership is now gone. Just waiting for the contractor to get started.
